I know what your day looks like
I've been on the roof at 5 a.m. and in the truck at 9 p.m. writing proposals. When you say follow-up isn't happening, I know why.
Xavier Medina — second-generation contractor, 20+ years in the trades, and the builder behind Certified AI™.

My father was a contractor. I'm the second generation. More than twenty years in the field, over 500 roofs installed across seven states, and five years running projects as lead project manager for a national roofing brand before I went out on my own.
Then I started Certified Contracting — a licensed Arizona general contractor, ROC #364621 — and ran into the wall every owner hits. You can do the work. You cannot do the work, answer the phone, chase the money and hire three people in the same week. Something always drops.
So I started building. A recruiting pipeline that texted applicants in seconds instead of days. A follow-up sequence that worked leads I'd already written off. A proposal generator that turned measurements into a branded, multi-option proposal before I left the driveway. Invoice automation so material cost stopped being a surprise at month end.
None of it came off a shelf, because nothing on the shelf fit how a sales-led company actually runs. It got built out of necessity and tested with my own money on the line.
Certified Leadz exists because other owners kept asking me to build them the same thing. Today we build those systems with AI where it genuinely helps — and we're building our own operating system, Certified AI, on the same rules we install for clients.
I've been on the roof at 5 a.m. and in the truck at 9 p.m. writing proposals. When you say follow-up isn't happening, I know why.
Every system we install was built inside a company I run, with my money funding the mistakes. The case studies show the lessons.
Your accounts, your data, your system. If you want to run it yourself in six months, you can.
If what you need isn't what we build — or AI shouldn't touch it — I'll say so on the first call.
SMS follow-up and re-engagement run in our own businesses. The automatic AI voice callback is in development and is not live yet.
Applicant intake and screening run live for Certified Contracting. Outbound messaging is waiting on Meta app review and carrier SMS registration.
Running for Certified Leadz's own outbound calling. Every call is placed by a person.
Built into our internal sales tooling and tested; not yet running on live client calls. Real-time, during-the-call coaching is a concept, not a feature.
The proposal and quote generators were built for Certified Contracting. The proposal-to-signature-to-payment flow in Certified AI runs on staging.
Built for Certified Contracting's JobNimbus account. Matching rules are specific to each company's suppliers and job naming.
In development for Certified Leadz's own line. Not live yet — we'll change this label when it is answering real calls.
This site is one. Earlier contractor lead pages were built the same way.
Replacing a Make.com texter with a purpose-built screening and booking system for commission roofing sales reps — applicants screened with evidence, interviews booked without phone tag, hires approved by the owner.
Consolidating prospecting, sales, proposals, payments and AI-assisted software building into one governed system with human approval on every consequential action — built on our own company first.
Turning years of cold text threads — missed inspections, unanswered proposals, past clients — into a paced, owner-approved re-engagement program that sends from the owner's own number, inside the original thread.
What we built to recruit door-to-door roofing sales reps, why we replaced a no-code texter, and the lessons from importing real applicants into the new system.
Lessons from building Certified AI for our own company: one database, human approvals, model spend caps, and the failures that shaped the rules.
How to wire Meta lead ads and web forms into your CRM and follow-up: webhooks plus pollers, attribution fields, consent checks and the approvals that slow you down.
A plain-language walk-through of AI lead qualification: asking only what's missing, rating each criterion with evidence, and handing the decision to a person.
A roofer's order of operations for automation: lead response, estimate follow-up, proposals, recruiting and invoices — and what should stay human.
Where AI belongs in a sales process and where it doesn't: the decisions we keep human in every system we build, and the rule we use to tell the difference.
Twenty minutes, owner to owner. You'll talk to me, not a setter reading a script.
I read these myself. Expect a reply within one business day.
